If you’re tempted into wild swimming for the first time, now is the perfect moment (writing in September). The water is the perfect temperature: cold enough to give you a rush but warm enough to be able to swim a few lengths. Look at http://wildswim.com/ to find a spot near where you live.

Great post! wild swimming sounds interesting. I would like to know is it not dangerous to swim in an open water?

Thanks Nick. It’s dangerous like crossing a road i.e. routinely low if you know what you’re doing (i.e. follow the advice above and you’ll be fine)!
