Amazing blog! Do you have any tips for aspiring writers? I’m hoping to start my own website soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you propose starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many choices out there that I’m completely confused .. Any tips? Many thanks!

Hi there, I’ve actually written a brief guide to setting up an expedition blog that you can read here.
It will of course depend on what you’re focus is but if it’s just as a way to start writing then certainly there is no need to pay to start with. WordPress and Blogger are both very popular and Type Pad is great for no frills writing blogs.
