Light My Fire Adventurer of the Year 2013

Beating the previous distance
Swedish company Light My Fire make the excellent fire steel ‘strikers’ – great pieces of kit for reliably lighting a stove in the cold and wet – but are probably better known for the ubiquitous plastic sporks you find by the tills in most outdoors shops.

They also run an annual ‘Adventurer of the Year’ competition. This year there were over 100 applications but I am delighted to announce that I am one of seven finalists for the 2013 award.

I will be blogging for Light My Fire – as I will be here at The Next Challenge – as Laura and I begin our cycle around the world this summer. If I am lucky then I’ll be in with a chance to win the overall award and €3,000 towards our expedition as it continues into 2014.

You can view my entry on the Light My Fire website here. And you can add comments on my profile too to make me look popular (which may or may not help me win the competition).
