    Libre Office is a spin-off from Open Office rather than a change of name (Open Office is still being developed). GIMP stands for GNU Image Manipulation Program, not such a stupid name. Good toolkit.

      Thanks Hamish. I did know what GIMP stood for (but still think it’s a bit daft!) though I hadn’t realised about Open/Libre Office so I’ll check out the differences. Thank you.

      I downloaded and installed a package a couple of years ago but never got round to using it. “Excel” and Google Docs are doing the job for now.
