We have a number of equipment sponsors for this trip (and sponsored insurance), one of whom is Berghaus. They’ve kindly given us waterproofs and other clothing for the trip.
They have also featured us as “Everyday Adventurers” – a series in which they promote “ordinary people” doing interesting things.
This was particularly fitting since I ran a campaign of Everyday Adventures myself a few years ago. Each month I came up with a new idea to encourage people to have little adventures in their daily lives, escaping the office at lunch time, squeezing in some excitement before work or undertaking an overnight trip. As my analytics tell, it’s still a popular campaign on Google.
Even better is the fact that we’ve been commissioned to write a series of Everyday Adventure ideas for Berghaus in 2014.
I started The Next Challenge four and a half years ago with the specific intention of encouraging people to live a little more adventurously so being able to deliver this message through a much larger platform than my own website is a wonderful opportunity.
I’ll let you know when the campaign starts next year but, in the meantime, you can see the blog posts we wrote for Berghaus about our adventure so far.
