We took our GoPro video camera with us on the cycle trip over Easter. We’ll be taking it around the world with us too. We won’t be attempting to make a proper documentary about our cycle, just capturing some video to upload to the website for fun.
Key to this is ease. The filming is already dead easy on the GoPro but editing videos can take ages and that’s when sat at a computer at home. We’ll be doing our editing on a 7-inch tablet inside a tent. We won’t have the battery power or patience to do anything fancy and we don’t want to spend hours tweaking a video when we could be outside cycling.
As such, I’m trying out some different apps to make the videos for us. This is the first effort. There’s no story or progression, it’s just a montage of shots set to music in no particular order. But I made it in about 20-seconds flat using Magisto. It might be a little bit too crude but it could be a good way for us to share our adventure in film from the road without wasting time at a computer whilst we’re travelling.
