Everything you ever needed to know about desert expeditions

Just a quick blog to draw attention to my newly published Desert Expedition Resources.

Staring eastwards towards the Omani sunrise

I’ve collected all of the articles I’ve written about desert expeditions which cover, amongst other things: the definition of what actually constitutes a desert, daily water rations of famous desert explorers, which minerals you need to replace to avoid dehydration, a comparison of every different desert cart used by various adventurers and – most important of all – how to buy a camel.

There is a list of all the current and recent desert explorers with links to their websites to read more, details of my own desert trips and, finally, a beginner’s guide to desert expeditions taken from my book How to Cross a Desert.

Anyway, you don’t need me to tell you all of this. Just have a look for yourself:

P.S. In case you haven’t already seen it, I reckon I have one of the most comprehensive collections of Adventure Resources on the web, to which the Desert information is just the latest addition. Please do take a look and tell your friends.
