Home Today: Come wave us in!

We are home today: Sunday, December 14th. Our trip will finish at Hampton Court Palace and this is an open invitation for you to come down and help us celebrate the end of our journey (and all the smug Facebook updates about it).

Where?

The Lion’s Gate, Hampton Court Palace (next to the Kings Arms on the map below).

After posing for photos, we will move to the Kings Arms or, if it’s too busy, The Mute Swan around the corner.

The Lion’s Gate and Kings Arms are 5 minutes walk from Hampton Court station, The Mute Swan even closer.

When?

We should arrive around 2.30-4pm and will be celebrating all afternoon.

We’d suggest staying warm at the Kings Arms or other nearby cafes/pubs until we arrive. We land at Heathrow at 11:30am, hope to be clear of customs by 12:30, spend 90 minutes assembling our bikes then perhaps an hour to cycle the 10 miles to Hampton Court.

We will post updates of our progress on Twitter.

Map

We will cycle into the Lion’s Gate from Bushy Park (not from where the arrow indicates on the map below).

Hope to see you there!

  1. What a fantastic idea! I wish you all the best with tackling your mixed feelings on the journey home. I wish I could make it next week.

  2. What’s your flight number please so I can keep an eye on its arrival and be transported to Hampton at an optimum time? I hate the car and I will only travel without screaming after I have just eaten. Really looking forward to meeting you!

    1. Thanks Sylvia. Best thing to do is check my Twitter feed. I’ll update it once we’ve landed and when we’re setting off. See you Sunday!

  3. Congratulations on arriving home safely! Job well done. So awesome!

    1. Thanks very much Darren. I appreciate that.
