There are six days left to apply for a Next Challenge Grant and there are six days left to donate to it too.
The grant is a chance to win up to £800 and equipment for an adventure.
It does not matter how big your idea is: previous winners have run across Kyrgyzstan and walked a thousand miles through South Africa.
Nor does it matter how small: other winners have walked to work and camped out with their five-year-old son.
It does not matter what country you are from. We have had winners from India, Australia, China, Canada, Ukraine and more. So, if you’re reading this in Cambodia, Columbia or Coventy, we want to hear from you.
You also do not need any experience. I’m particularly interested in helping those who are new to “adventure” so, as long you’re not planning anything extreme, experience is not a prerequisite.
In fact, if you’re reading this and thinking: “I’ve never done anything like that before. I’m not sure it’s for me”, then you are my ideal candidate. Apply now!
Money for the grant comes from me, several other ‘adventurers’ and lots of small donations from members of the public. If you would like to donate £3 towards making someone else’s adventure happen then click here to find out more.
As well as the cash on offer, you can also win a range of equipment. Some of it will be borrowed kit from me (like stoves, camping mats and bivvy bags) but you can also get hiking boots from Keen and even the use of a Kibo Expedition touring bike.
The deadline for applications is next Wednesday, 31st January. It’s a short online form that only takes a few minutes to complete. What are you waiting for?
