Here are the first set of photographs covering about 500km of cycling from Hampton Court Palace to the Palace of Versaille and a little bit beyond, following the Avenue Verte for much of the way through France. They’re almost all taken by Laura.
(They’re displayed below using an automatic feature from Flickr. It’s really convenient for me to do but I’m a bit concerned that they might not be very easy to view so let me know if you don’t like how they’re laid out).
We’re heading off this afternoon to continue our journey, down to just the two of us now as it will be for most/all of the way to Australia. Feeling a little nervous.
We will go south east to Dijon to pick up a EuroVelo route to Basel then another EuroVelo route south across Switzerland and the Alps into Italy at Milan in mid-September before following the coast through Croatia.
