Expedition Clayoquot

Tofino

Three UCL Geography students, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, an area of reknowned ‘pristine’ temperate rainforest and some canoes.

With the aim of  paddling up Sydney Inlet to the sound’s northernmost aquatic point, the team were also researching the effects of logging on the surrounding wildlife.  And all of this in an area filled with cougars, wolves bears and whales!

Expedition Clayoquot recently returned from their trip. Photos and a report should follow shortly but, in the meantime, have a look at their early blog entry.
