100 pounds, 29 photos – The Story Board

I’m not sure what exactly made me wedge a miniature whiteboard into the back of my rucksack last Sunday but I’m certainly glad that I did.

I was attempting to have an adventure on a budget of £100. Not only did the whiteboard help with the hitch-hiking (several people said they wouldn’t have picked me up without it and one suggested that the evident literacy indicated I was less likely to be carrying a knife) but it also gave me a great excuse to have some fun with my camera.

I hope you enjoy my story board as much as I did.

    Followed you challenge on twitter Tim – thought it was great value! Love the photo’s too, excellent record of the trip.

    One question for you – since you came home with £30, do you wish you’d spent some of that doing something else on the trip? Or indeed are you going to do something else special with the change?

    What if you were challenged to invest that money somehow, like starting some sort of business, to generate enough to fund the next trip?

    Glad you enjoyed the trip. Under normal circumstances I would certainly have used the £30 for something significant. Or, better still, used it for something exciting on the trip.

    But part of the reason for doing the trip is that I’m on a tight budget generally. So, as boring as this is, those remaining pennies will be used to fund another week or two’s existence.
