Hi there, I’m very pleased to have found this psoting….I have recently made big changes to my diet and started washing in cold water about a month ago……I have always felt the cold badly but in some ways since losing alot of weight it is kind of worse but I was able to have my first cold shower the other day without any problems after first splashing cold water on me after a hot bath for over 3 weeks……What I am wondering is,,,,,,,how long roughly should it take before I can start wearing t shirst in winter??!! I can’t wait to beat this cold feeling..your response would be much appreciated…Also I have started to put ice “things” in my water…and just wondering how long I should spend in the cold shower after having a hot shower?I will do whatever it takes to beat this cold once and for all!!

Hi Deborah, thanks for your message and great to hear that you too enjoy the thrill of cold water!

I’m afraid I am an enthusiast rather than an expert so couldn’t advise on the specifics. I do it because I enjoy it and I think it probably does some good but beyond that, I’ll have to leave it to you to experiment and/or Google.

    Good luck!
